How do I apply to become a Certified Planner?
To become a certified planner, one must meet certain education and experience requirements and pass a written examination. The AICP exam is given twice a year in May and November.

AICP Exam Preparation Workshop and Training Sessions
Each year SDAPA offers a one-day ACIP Exam Preparation Workshop and a series of five-half day AICP Exam Training Sessions. The 2008 training sessions have already been completed.
Registration for the 2009 AICP Workshop and Training Sessions will be available in January 2009. For more information regarding the 2009 AICP Training Sessions, please contact Stan Donn, AICP
